League of Legends peaks at 500000 concurrent players

LoL hits 500 000 concurrent players

Los Angeles, California - After years of keeping League of Legends' player numbers a secret, Riot Games has finally revealed them to the public. As the first free to play game in the Dota genre, LoL has seen tremendous growth with their business model averaging 700 000 new registrations per month since it was released in October 2009.

As of July 2011, LoL has the following player statistics:
- 15 million registrations (Total for all active / inactive accounts plus unique / smurf accounts)
- 4 million players play in one month
- 1.4 million summoners play League of Legends daily
- Peak concurrent player numbers of 500 thousand

  3. Funny, they have 15 million in July of 2011, then riot claims 32 million in November... I smell something fishy. Riot is definitely lying on their numbers.
