League of Legends Spectator Mode

League of Legends releases Spectator Mode

Riot Games has finally decided to release the full version of the LoL spectator mode. Inspired by huge eSports like Starcraft 2 and Dota 2, League of Legends has incorporated a mode which allows a player to watch a live League of Legends match.

Spectate League of Legends games

Spectator mode options:
1) Spectate Custom Games
2) Spectate Friends
3) Spectate Featured Games

Spectator mode features
1) Directed Camera
- Similar to Dota 2's camera which actively shows the most interesting action in the match.

2) Timeshift
- An innovative feature that allows viewers to change the viewing game speed (pause, slow, fast forward) and enables jumping to different time signatures in the ongoing match.

Summary
League of Legends' spectator mode is a combination of HoN and Dota 2's spectator modes with the addition of Timeshift. Spectator mode gives League of Legends casters a variety of options to improve the quality of shoutcasting live LoL games.
